Clayton 955 SP ~ June 2000


 

It started out as a 1995 916SP (955cc)

It has basically a '95 spec Corsa motor, 54mm injectors, big airbox & tubes
with matching upper fairing inlets, '95 Corsa cams, big valves, Ti Pankl con
rods, lightened polished rebalanced crankshaft, lighter flywheel, JE racing
pistons, race clutch, ported & flowed heads, Full 50mm Termignoni "Daytona"
Titanium exhaust system, Larger oil radiator, larger racing type water
radiator without fan, FIM Ultimap programmable EPROM's with FIM hand held
computer, custom battery holder & small Yuasa battery, special coils &
Hotwire leads, NGK surface gap race spark plugs, Electrix reg/rect, custom
made high output starter, higher ratio billet clutch slave cylinder.

The Chassis has a race spec PPS/Ohlins shock & steering damper, Mag swingarm
& linkage, billet linkage rod, carbon bodywork, every fastener is titanium
or aluminum, TiNitride RaceTech works forks, Magnesium Marchesini's w/
Michelin Pilot Race (soft) tyres, Corsa/Brembo race brakes & master
cylinders w/ stainless hoses, Feredo CP911 pads, lightened & drilled rear
brake assembly w/EBC HH pads, Ti axles - swingarm pivot - suspension
fasteners - motor mounts, custom made titanium rearsteps, Renthal quick
change 520 rear sprocket assembly with lighter 520 DP countershaft sprocket,
special gold RK "GY" Racing chain, and billet yokes.

Appearance items include carbon fiber headlight bucket & fairing supports,
alloy fuel tank, Corbin raw carbon look saddle, custom made rear signals &
plate holder, painted mirrors, Gattolone Racing PF Chili paint scheme with
all stickers and decals from Gattolone, and carbon rear hugger.
