I had my 2001 748bp delivered about 5 weeks ago. The first 500 miles (Running-in period) was absolute hell as the bike REALLY wants to rev. I have now done 750 miles and an happily thrahing the bike like mad after it's first service. I have had no problems or issues so far (Except for the missus nearly dropping it................). What the bike does need though is a hugger and some Termi pipes.

Insurance is also a problem, I am 22 and an paying through the nose, the best quotes in the country were from Tenaville Insurance, they are in Romford Essex and are on (01708)737697 - ask for Sunil!!!!!!

The first thing that struck me was how much the bike loves to be revved - for a twin. I have only had V4s previously and was quite concerned about my first twin. This is without a doubt the best bike I have ever riden, it handles well, has plenty of torque as most of all - looks the business. I am have now been converted for life from Japs and have sold my soul to the Italians. My previous bike was a 1999 Gixxer 600, the Duke feels so much safer and planted on the road, I am now riding better, faster and with more confidence.

If anyone has concerns about reliability and/or comfort then just tell them to test-ride one - they WILL buy it, guaranteed !!!!!!!
